As this event is taking place during Ramadan, we have scheduled presentations to finish just in time for those who are fasting to break their fasts at the venue if they wish. We will be providing light snacks & drinks, and guests are welcome to bring dishes to share.

afikra Salon is a salon-style event where members of the community present on cultural and historical topics they are curious about from the Arab world. The purpose of each evening is to bring together a community of like-minded individuals and have a fruitful conversation about things we don't know much about.

We don't announce the topics beforehand but they vary widely. They are based on a curiosity that the presenter had related to Arab histories and cultures. The presentations are about showcasing and sharing what they found after spending some time looking into their curiosity.
