About Greg Burris
Greg Burris is a film maker, cultural theorist, and professor at the American University of Beirut. His work focuses on race, media, and emancipatory politics, particularly in the context of the U.S. Black freedom movement and the Palestinian liberation struggle. He is the author of “The Palestinian Idea: Film, Media, and the Radical Imagination” (Temple University, 2019), and he has also contributed essays to publications such as CineAction, Cinema Journal, Electronic Intifada, Film Quarterly, The Guardian, Jadaliyya, and more.
