We talked to Isabella Hammad, the author of "The Parisian", on writing her first novel and her new novel set in London and Palestine.
About Isabella Hammad
Isabella Hammad's first novel The Parisian was published in April 2019 and is being translated into 15 languages. She was awarded a 2019 Palestine Book Award, the 2020 Sue Kaufman Prize from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, a Betty Trask Award from the Society of Authors in the UK, and a Literary Fellowship from the Lannan Foundation. In 2019 she was a National Book Foundation 5 Under 35 Honoree. She is currently at work on a new novel set in London and Palestine.
