About Thomas Simsarian Dolan

Thomas Dolan is a Ph.D. Candidate in American Studies at George Washington University, focusing on Middle Eastern diaspora and race. After majoring in History and International Studies at Yale University, he received a master's degree in American Studies from New York University. A recent recipient of the Calouste Gulbenkian Global Excellence Scholarship, Thomas' research has also been supported by the Institute for Middle East Studies, Dr. Philip M. Kayal Fund for Arab American Research, and many others. Thomas has also served as a visiting researcher at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, and has published in Mashriq & Mahjar, Huffington Post, Muftah, Arab America, HowlRound, among others. Prior to returning to graduate school, Thomas helped create and perform in work at Madison Square Garden, Lincoln Center, Town Hall, Studio 54, Signature Theatre, Cherry Lane, Abingdon, among others.
