Description

I wanted to find out a little more about a time when the Middle East was actually prosperous, so I referenced back to the Golden Age of Islam. I was very curious as to what made it so golden other than the feat of conquering Spain. That led me to the translation movement undertaken by the Abbasid dynasty. It turns out the translation movement was the crux of the Islamic state's lightning progress in expanding the world's knowledge.
