This afikra feature is an exploration into the stories of the queens behind the Hashemite monarchy of Jordan. Noor Lozi looks at the queens’ roots (who all happen to have non-Jordanian backgrounds), their journeys before becoming queens, and what role they played as the leading women of the country.
