DESCRIPTION
The Abbasid Caliphate came to power in 750ad, soon after paper came to play. With that comes the mass translations of ancient works. A knowledge storing system is essentially created. Muslim polymaths build and create on the musical works of the ancient greeks and end up formalizing instruments. Over the span of the next 400 years, Muslims traveling into Europe bring with them the new instruments. Europeans studying in the Muslim lands bring back with them their new knowledge. And thus, a thirst for musical knowledge grows in Europe.
